Story

Client has created portable ECG monitors, which help people measure their heart rate and provide quick diagnosis anywhere.SonoHealth.org is both a community and a company focused on providing the best possible advice and amazing, affordable health and fitness products.

Onboarding

We developed simple and intuitive process to help user connect SonoHealth device to mobile app. User is guided through a simple 3 step process. At every step animation is showed to help user set up everything easily. Animation is followed by text instructions also.

Our partner wanted to make SonoHealth ECG monitor experience more engaging and functional:

Create mobile app for iOS and Android
Ability for users to store and categorize ECG recordings
Ability to print ECG taken from SonoHealth device
Have community forum, where users and doctors can communicate and share their ECGs
Make intuitive and easy to use mobile application

Steps in details

We heavily modified C++ library for connecting Custom ECG device with iOS device
Data exchange is done via Bluetooth 4.0 (BLE) protocol, which does not require Apple MFi Program
Recorded data is saved to cloud, so as user registration details
Device settings can be changed from mobile device
We have implemented community forum functionality, where users can exchange ECG data and communicate on cardio health-related issues
We generate PDF file with ECG recording and it could be sent by email or printed directly from smartphone
We use zip compression of ECG data to optimize file sizes and cloud connection speed
